The banner year for NVM Express continues. This time in San Francisco and you’re invited to join us at the 2nd NVMe Technology Showcase at the Intel Developers Forum from September 10-12 at the Moscone Center.
This year’s NVM Express Technology Showcase provides an opportunity to see products and demonstrations from Agilent Technologies, Dell, EMC, Intel, LSI, Micron Technology, PMC-Sierra, SanDisk, Tektronix, Teledyne LeCroy, Viking Technology and Western Digital designed to deliver full SSD performance to Client and Enterprise platforms. In addition, sTec will be present in the community demonstrating their new NVM Express PCIe SSD in the Tektronix booth, This is the second publicly announced NVM Express PCIe SSD in 2013. The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), supporting a related NVM technology under development, will also be present in the NVM Express Technology Showcase.
In addition to the NVM Express Technology Showcase, Intel’s Amber Huffman will be leading an educational session titled, NVM Express: Optimized Interface for PCI Express* SSDs on Tuesday, September 10 at 5:00pm. The session, SSDS004, will feature presentations from Huffman, Microsoft’s Robin Alexander, PMC-Sierra’s Derek Dicker and EMC’s Steve Sardella. If the presentation is anything like the one given at Flash Memory Summit, it will be “awesome.”
And for those looking for a more hands on experience, Intel’s Chris O’Flaherty and Yuan Zhang (Jack) are leading a Lab session titled, Compiling the NVM Express Linux* Open Source Driver and SSD Linux Benchmarks and Optimizations on Wednesday, September 11 at 1pm. This session, SSDL001/001R, will show how to compile the NVM Express (NVMe) Linux* open source driver as well as show how to benchmark and optimize SSD performance under Linux. Knowing Chris and Jack this should be well worth attendees time.
Look forward to seeing you in San Francisco.
