Check out NVMe at Flash Memory Summit – And Maybe Win an SSD

So it’s time for Flash Memory Summit (FMS) again and like in years past, I am getting ready to head out to the Summit to learn the latest and greatest in flash memory technology. However, this year, I am especially excited about FMS. On Tuesday afternoon, from 2 PM onwards, the brightest and the sharpest minds of the SSD industry are getting together to talk about NVMe technology. The session will highlight speakers from Dell, Oracle, EMC, among others, and will include five presentations and a panel which I will have the honor of chairing. What sets this session apart is the breadth and depth of topics being discussed.  There are speakers with application-level expertise who will talk about the need for PCIe-based flash devices for improving application performance as well as leading technologists of our time, who will get into the guts and details of the NVMe protocol.
